I have tested it here by installing kernel 2.6.27-1-generic on Hardy (downloaded from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/pub/next/2.6.27-rc3/hardy/), then removed the workaround patch (net.ipv4.tcp_frto = 0) from sysctl.conf and rebooted with the new kernel. It seems that the bug is gone with this kernel since IP printing now works normally without the patch.
