I am having the same problems with a Hawking HPS1U print server with my Samsung ML-1430. My 7.10 machines print without problem but my two 8.04 computers fail to print (although they printed perfectly before upgrade). I see Mr. Wick's work around however I am unable understand how to apply this (due to my own ignorance). I am just an end user with a problem not a developer. When attempting to edit sysctl.conf I am told I do not have permission. Can you step down your workaround for an end user. I am sorry if this is an inappropriate question for this forum but I am desperate.
