After figuring out some video did not play too well with standard totem-gstreamer, vlc nor gnome-mplayer i also installed totem-xine and gxine (video ran fine in totem-xine)
now i got the same issue in a new x86 ubuntu intrepid ibex.
As someone posted here setting hue values with xvattr is reset next time i start totem-gstreamer
only way to fix it is to set hue to 0 on totem itself

my graphics card is nvidia quadro fx570M running nvidia driver nvidia-glx-173 (package 173.14.12-1-0ubuntu4)
