This is bug 1416081.

Not true. Your STARTUP above includes '--disable-acceleration-check'
which was only added in the version currently in trusty-proposed.

Already fixed in vivid, and proposed patches for SRU. Any help getting
those uploaded would be tremendously welcome. :)
