I am also an Urdu speaker, I can test it once I know how to install Ubuntu on Hyper-V.

Then can you please install the fonts-nafees package from my PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~gunnarhj/+archive/misc and let us know if it
makes the Nastaleeq font be used when you for example browse Urdu web
pages?
