Hi all,

Not really looking for a fix, only reporting what I have found.

I have the issue in Ubuntu 12.10. The change from post #22 worked for me:

#own_window_type override
own_window_type normal

Here's some info on my system:

Conky 1.9.0
Ubuntu 12.10
Compiz 0.9.8.5
