I tried to use the Gutsy version of genisoimage, but it didn't work for me.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 (Dell install) on a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop.

Downloaded genisoimage_1.2.1.6-1ubuntu3_i386.deb from one of the mirror the links at
http://packages.ubuntu.com/nl/gutsy/i386/genisoimage/download

Ran sudo dpkg genisoimage_1.1.6-1ubuntu3_i386.deb

Set "lock version" for this package in Synaptic package manager.

Tried to burn a DVD from MythTV (mytharchive module). Error from mythburn.log:

The DVD can be read and played on my Ubuntu box, and will play using VLC player on Windows 2000, but I cannot browse the files on Windows or play it with other Windows DVD players. I don't have a standalone DVD player to try it in.

I have reverted to the hardy version of genisoimage. With the hardy version, mytharchive thinks it has completed, and does not produce any error in the mythburn.log. But the DVD has the same reading problem under Windows.
