No, using directly the package from Gutsy without recompiling it.
I know it's evil, and we are not supposed to do so, but it works very well, whereas when you recompile it on Hardy it seems not to work.
So why bother compiling it ;-)

Then I suspect the bug is not directly on the source of genisoimage itself, but on some other library the executable is linked with. Or could be that the changes made in genisoimage have the effect in the called libraries to use other parts of codes that are buggy.
