I can confirm this bug.

"lspci" shows
Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5755M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02)

"modinfo tg3 | grep version" gives
version: 3.102

And ethernet does stop if I transfer enough data trough this particular ethernet card.
