Confirmed here with Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 fully update/upgraded and with htop 0.6.6 - (C) 2004-2006 Hisham Muhammad.
The htop list a lot of duplicate rows about the unique ( verified with ps command ) process, with different htop PID number:
/usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon (60 rows)
same for the unique process :
/usr/sbin/apt-cacher-ng (3 rows)
with different htop PID
Top works good and i see only a process for console-kit-daemon and for apt-cacher-ng
*** It seems that by default, htop lists each thread on a separate line, while other utilities don't. If you want to see one line for each process, hit F2, then enable the "Hide userland threads" option in the "Display Options" menu.
