While LIM is a great advancement to solving this bug, but some people don't seem convinced yet.

So from all the feedback from various discussions (here and on unity-design), I can only conclude that an alternative worth exploring could be something combined from these 2 proposals:

Is still local and integrated, so it might be called "LIM2".

to be fair and not a biased decision, a poll would be nice to see which one users prefer: prototype LIM1 or prototype LIM2.
