Bug Description

The visual effects have unclear descriptions and enable features that average users would not particularly like.

None: Perfect! exactly as you would expect.

Normal: These Features should be disabled (or at least explained in detail at some point):
- enhanced desktop zoom. An accidental mouse-wheel when pressing super can cause panic and confusion.
- Expo. It is an added feature, it's too flashy, and it has a strange button press.
- Shift switcher. It is an added feature, with a strange button press.

Extra: I only see wobbly windows added. I would expect "extra" to be more flashy and more or just as usable, such as one might see in youtube videos.
- add desktop cube / rotate cube. I can almost understand why it's not in normal, but it should definitely be here. Desktop cube is one of the most impressive things about ubuntu that other OS's don't have, it's flashy, and it actually helps workflow.
- Remove wobbly windows. Windows should never vibrate like warm jelly, nor overshoot/undershoot the point that you drag them to. I've played with settings for a good few hours, and every setting compromises usability.
- Add Window Previews (pretty, useful, and intuitive)
- All the things disabled in normal could be enabled here. Those features exist largely for flashiness.

These features fall under:
- easy to fix
- makes the computer less pleasant to use
- in default instillation of ubuntu
- average user would encounter
- I assume it's unintended, and it's a usability problem

This seems to be a bug for Compiz. Since that is not included in the default installation, it is not a Paper Cut and I am reassigning the bug.

affects: hundredpapercuts → compiz

I don't know how to reassign this back to papercut, but it's definitely included in the default installation.

And if memory serves, you are offered to use these settings by default if you have a graphics card that supports it.

CompizConfig Settings Manager was only used to understand what the visual effect settings do, not to modify them.
