I agree. Any serious usability bug is going to taint people's experience of Unity and Ubuntu. When Unity feels broken, Ubuntu feels broken. People don't care about the process for SRU approval or the root cause of a usability bug; they care about using their programs. Bugs in Unity make me hesitant to recommend Ubuntu to non-computer savvy people, and Ubuntu is really meant for exactly those people.
