Hi,
when you changed the option "how to draw minimized windows" to not use
thumbnails, did you restart your session ?
this option does not cause any trouble for me with Compiz, but just to be
sure ^_^
I'm under Ubuntu 13.04 though, so maybe a newer version of Compiz would fix
the problem ?
