Comment 4 for bug 1248550

The issue was addressed when using metacity windows manager.

As you thought, it is pointing to a compiz windows manager issue instead. I will see if I can transfer ownership. If not, this can be closed and I will reopen an issue under compiz.

I used the following commands to toggle between metacity and compiz:

metacity --replace

to get back to original state:

compiz --replace
