command-not-found crashes every time, when it is called using an unknown or uninstalled locale.

So I try:

ck@cebulon:~$ LANG=asd asd

This is on my Ubuntu 12.10.

But on my other computer with Ubuntu 12.04 it crashes as well (although with less output).

Is it an python problem?
