Olaf - what options are you using to create your VM ? Using uvt-kvm is not showing the same ACPI enumeration error, e.g.,

uvt-kvm create myvm release=focal arch=amd64
uvt-kvm ssh --insecure myvm
sudo apt-get install linux-kvm
sudo reboot
uvt-kvm wait --insecure myvm
uvt-kvm ssh --insecure myvm
dmesg|grep -i acpi
