I could only boot when using a minimum of 2GB of memory, for some reason 1GB was not enough. Also, when using 2GB.

Secondly I get the error:

error: kernel doesn't support EFI handover
error: you need to load the kernel firs.

Press any key to continue...

and then one returns back to grub.
