Martin: I understand the desire to see this coded defensively, but aside from that are you implying there's a currently known risk to relying on `qemu-img info` for checking VMDK files in order to confirm they're monolithic? So far I thought the risks we had discussed for `qemu-img info` use were specific to QCOW2, which is what this bug report and the associated patches address.
