We just stumbled into this issue in our openstack environment (wallaby).

Are there any plans to backport the default change back to wallaby and xena and also merge the proposed yoga MR?
Sure we set heartbeat_in_pthread to False for our environment, but more users that will upgrade to wallaby, xena and yoga will have a somewhat broken behaviour on default values when upgrading.
