After installing the latest updates on December 23, 2016, the cinnamon-screensaver (AKA "lock screen") sometimes will not require a password to unlock! Anyone can bypass the lock screen due to this critical bug. Another issue after installing these updates is that locking the session can sometimes freeze the entire system, which will require a hard reboot or the "Sys Resc RSEISUB" key combination.
