@Neutron-coresec : can you please review the patch submitted in #30. It still applies and pass unit-tests here.

We also need a stable/icehouse backport to progress on this bug (note that stable/havana is not necessary anymore). Some adjustments need to be done for smbfs.

Note that stable/havana is not required anymore as it reached EOL.
