@Eric: Yep, this is with nas_secure_file_operations on.

@David: The thought to look into the tests came to me due to the fact that the tests are successful when run singleton but fail when run in a group. The image manipulated by one test seems to be used in other tests afterwards. I'd think of tests to be completely isolated by e.g. not re-using the same volume.
To be clear: I do not mean that this issue is a tempest bug but i thought in the context of this issue tempest team might be interested to see if there's stronger test isolation required.
If not please move this ticket back to cinder.
