I am unable to reproduce this using the following steps:

1) Create volume vol-1 with a profile mapped to vmfs local datastore
2) Create nova VM vm-1 from a sparse image with vmware_adaptertype=lsiLogic
3) Attach vol-1 to vm-1
4) Detach vol-1
5) Clone vol-1
