Tested OK with Juju 1.25.5 and MAAS 1.9 as well; Juju is not managing the hosts file, the charm is doing it actively when peers join the cluster relation (ref update_hosts_file function).

Side effect of this is that hostname resolution between peers is fully functional, even if the DNS in the environment is not as the charm would like it to be.
