It appears the issue coming about here is that I've misconfigured the thruk-agent URL to add the /thruk to the URL, which is creating a link to https://nagios-ip:443/thruk/thruk/cgi-bin/remote.cgi.

So, we neither have to change the URL scheme for the nrpe.d/cfg file nor is the monitor needing to be changed to result OK, since I had not read into the code to find that the query posts actions to perform which would return the nagios_pid.
