Find the same bug in Gentoo when tried to search some files with "find" method (I have no other search providers installed).

Same happens to me in Xubuntu 12.10 x64 after a new install. Odd thing was that it worked fine in a previous 12.10 install. Any way for user to run and log errors, since none are visible?

Good day,

This is a known issue with the current version of catfish. It uses the 'locate' command by default, which only searches a database of known files. The next version (currently working on it) will no longer have this issue.

This has been addressed in the experimental branch, which will be released in the near future.

Marking Fix Released since Ubuntu Raring uses the 0.6.x series and the bug was fixed upstream.
