But because we already have hundreds of users who expect their Cardapio keybindings to be respected, I think the best solution is to do exactly what you say but with the checkbox *checked* by default. And the "custom shortcut" should be the user's current Cardapio keybinding.
This way, both Alt+F1 and the user's custom shortcut would open Cardapio.
