Bug Description

Product: bq Aquaris E4.5 & E5
FW version: OTA-9

Preconditions:

STEPS TO REPRO:
1. Download .crt or .cer for eduraom wlans at any university
2. In Wi-Fi settings connect to eduroam with your credentials and selecting .crt or .cer certificate for authentication

Actual Result:
Wi-Fi settings cannot manage .crt or .cer certificates and so cannot connect to eduroam
Expected Result:
Wi-Fi settings should be able to manage and understand .crt and .cer certificates for eduroam networks

<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityAndPrivacySettings#certificates>: “Whenever you download a certificate, private key, or PAC file, regardless of app, a certificate preview dialog should appear … the System Settings ‘Certificates & Keys’ screen … should contain an alphabetically sorted list of certificates and PAC files.”

was this not part of the WPA2 support?

I think it should be supported but some BQ community users and me have tested it in our nearest eduroam Wlans and it seems to be not working. When I select the .crt or .cer certificate needed for my university in wi-fi settings through the file manager it does not connect.

Here are 2 screenshots, one about the eduroam config and other about how Wi-Fi setting shows the certificate after being imported from file manager. Don't know if that's the expected behaviour and if that's what should be shown.

Please let me know if ther's something you need to test or logs tho gather.

Victor, did you forget to attach the screen shots? Also, could you attach the syslog from when you're trying to establish the eduroam connection?

Also, could this be a duplicate of bug 1472805?

It should be noted that eduroam w/o a certificate works.

So sorry! Here is the attachment. As soon as I can get syslog I'll attach it too :)

And I'll also try to get syslog and .crt/.cer docs from the BQ community users
