@John, the phenomenon is a bit different on vivid r206, channel: ubuntu-touch/devel-proposed
There is an abnormal icon shows at the first connection with a hidden wireless, the SSID is still invisible too, please refer to the screenshot attached, both of them will become normal after re-connection.
