Link tag with url results in slow loading

The epub viewer takes several seconds to load new sections (html files) containing a link with any url:

<link href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/calibre/"/>

I don't know whether this is an error in the ebook and therefore normal for the calibre viewer to load slowly, or a legitimate use of the link tag (with itemprop="mainEntityOfPage") that could be processed more quickly by the viewer when it wouldn't result in anything being displayed. I found these links in an epub generated by wikisource, which was uploaded here https://bugs.launchpad.net/calibre/+bug/1849612

For comparison, the same html files with <link> tags load instantly in Firefox, where those links also do not result in anything being loaded/displayed on the page.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
