Menu Option: Edit Metadata - Submenus Not Working

Bug Description

When I right-click on a book in my library a shortcut menu pops up.
One of the options on this menu is to "Edit Metadata"
3 of the sub-menu options under "Edit Metadata" do not work, namely
- edit metadata individually
- edit metadata in bulk
- download metadata and covers
When these options are clicked, the menu does not disappear, and no action is launched.
I have not tried the "merge book records options" under "Edit Metadata"

Calibre version 2.51 (but noticed this in a prior version too)
OS - Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
