Bug Description

Calibre 2.0.0

Windows XP SP3 32-Bit

When I attempt to start Calibre 2.0.0, it produces an exception and shuts down. I tried uninstalling and doing a fresh install, but same results.

It looks like your CPU does not support SSE2, in which case you should
stick with calibre 1.48 as described in the above bug report.

I ran CPU-Z and it shows my processor does support SSE2. I am attaching a text file of the CPU-Z output.
The processor is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.

Hmm, well then I am out of ideas. I not longer have a machine capable of
running windows XP to test on, and calibre works fine in my windows XP
viretual machine. I suggest you stay with calibre 1.48 until you decide
to upgrade windows.
