Bug Description
When I generate a catalog, about every other catalog lists two copies of each entry. The Catalog should have approximately 10,000 entries, but shows 20,000. I can't think what I am doing differently such that the catalog from last week is fine, and the catalog for this week has the issue. I used to generate catalogs in MOBI to send to Kindle; about 6 or 8 [or more?] updates ago, I discovered that generating the catalog in .EPUB cured the duplication problem, so started using that. Now I get the issue whether the catalog is generated in EPUB or MOBI.
I keep Calibre updated. Currently on 1.24 [64 bit, Win 7 - 64] at the office and 1.24 [Mac OS X.9, recently upgraded from 10.6, but both OS's had the issue] at home. I have not had any issues with using the 2 platforms since I started truncating some extra long titles when adding books. I share the libraries through Dropbox, and have for 2 years or so. I am very careful not to leave two instances of Calibre running. My Dropbox does not show duplicate files or directories. I do keep multiple files of each book, but more likely three of them than two. None of the catalog entries show as many copies as there are formats.
This problem has been intermittent.
