Comment 2 for bug 792614

you can try this:
in a terminal, run
cairo-dock -l debug > log.txt
then attach the file log.txt here.

alternatively, install ddd and run
ddd cairo-dock
reproduce the crash, and see in the backtrace where the dock has stopped.
