Comment 5 for bug 882541

I'm not sure what emacs has to do with the original bug report, but in any case, I'd argue that the round-trip requirement for bound branches to get the nick is a poor choice. At some point in the past, this must have not been the case (see lp:148030). But I note it's also reported as an issue in lp:629150.

As I mentioned previously, I think branch.conf should store this one (extra) piece of information for bound branches to avoid round-tripping when looking for something as simple as the branch nickname. Whether this should just be done by overloading the nickname field, or by adding an additional field, I don't know.
