Hm,

If possible, please instruct the user install following package at startup, if missing:

   apt-get install python-pycurl python-testtools

But this still levaes following errors:

$ bzr start-service -v

failed to import bzrlib.benchmarks.bench_knit: <type 'exceptions.ImportError'> cannot import name CompiledKnitFeature
