Bug Description
I love the latest Working Tree features and context menus. This piece of UI is becoming functional and useful.
I'd like to see color highlighting of Folders and Files within this tree to quickly show status. Folders would highlight whenever files within the subtree contain changes, files would simply color according to status. Currently the status is shown as a text label in a second column.
Other tree based version control clients like Tortoise do this already. It makes drilling down and locating files of interest quick and easy.
Eg.
Red = changed
Blue = unversioned
Faded Gray = ignored (relates to bug #396662)
(May want Green as versioned or just use default Black)
It may also make sense to show one or more icons in addition to color or use multiple colors or blended colors to show status combinations such as 'folder contains changed AND unversioned files'.
I think the primary purpose is for the user to browse for Changed and Unversioned files, the secondary purpose would be to manage Ignores.
While I'm thinking about this... When the user highlights a folder, a status area in the Working Tree could display sub tree stats like '4 files changed, 15 unversioned, 8 ignored'.
