Bug Description

I have a quad monitor setup using Xinerama+twinview with two video cards. When I enable "Auto-hide the launcher" in the Appearance -> Behavior settings, then move my mouse from screen 3 to the left into screen 2, the cursor jumps to the launcher on screen one and the launcher opens.

This happens regardless of if I am trying to get the launcher on screen three to activate or even just trying to move my mouse to screen 2.

This causes that feature to be useless to me as that prevents me from being able to work effectivly.

thank you for your bug report, you mean that crossing the screen 3 to 2 border your cursor is not moved to screen 2 but screen 1?

I'm having a similar problem with the unity desktop and xinerama.

I have a dual-monitor setup, each one running of a separate 550ti; my secondary monitor is left of center.

When I move the mouse pointer from the left of center monitor, onto my center screen, the pointer jumps all the way to the right side of the center monitor.

it also has a momentary hang (like its hitting resistance) when I'm moving it across an invisible vertical line 2" in from the right side of the center monitor.

Neither of these problems occur in any of the gnome desktops, and the "invisible line" goes away if I turn off the second monitor.

Yes, when moving my mouse from screen 3 to the left, crossing the line to
screen 2, my mouse jumps to the very left side of screen 1, skipping over
screen 2 all together. If I then move my mouse to the right, then I can
successfully and smoothly move across all of my screens. This only happens
when I am moving from right to left.

Suffer for the same problem.
Using 2 monitors, with the right on in portrait mode, using Xinerama and unity 2D (nvidia driver limitation).

When I use auto-hide on the launcher, my mouse jumps from the left border of my right screen directly to the left border of my left screen.
- Works fine when auto-hide is disabled.
- Works fine with KDE.

xorg.conf extract:
Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "Layout0"
    Screen "Screen0" 0 0
    Screen "Screen1" RightOf "Screen0"

I don't understand how a confirmed bug can get expired for lack of activity these many times. This is a problem in multimonitor Xinerama setup, that appears when the the launchers are set to autohide. This happens in Unity-2D, not in Unity proper, we are forced to use Unity-2D, because it's not possible to use Unity proper with this setup.

When the launcher is not in autohide, the mouse scrolls fine, to the expected part of the screen. When it's in autohide, however, the mouse appears on top of the launcher when it should appear on the other edge of the screen.
