Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

security vulnerability: yes → no
visibility: private → public

It looks like the error you have experienced is related to a conflict between the packaged installation of puppet and a custom manual installation of puppet you have in /usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8/puppet.

Thus this problem appears to be on your system and not a bug in Ubuntu. Accordingly I am marking this bug as Invalid in Ubuntu.

If I am mistaken, please do explain and change the status back to New.

Changed in puppet (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Hi Robie,

Thanks for the info. I already remove and purged the package installation
for the ubuntu and also remove the package for the manual and restarted the
system. then I try to reinstall the puppet using apt-get install then error
appears(sorry I already deleted the logs and error messages), I will try to
reproduce the error and will send you the info once the error is related
to the Ubuntu (not related to the app)

Thanks for the response regarding to this issue

Luis
