Vamp plugins are not istalled from deb packages

What version of debian are you on?

I think its not an issue of a special debian based distribution, its an issue of "scons install" and "build/debian/rules"
libmixxxminimal.so should be installed on a common location for all users.
Suggestion:
/usr/lib/mixxx/vamp-plugins

Yup, our SConscript currently tries to install to
<prefix>/lib/mixxx/plugins/vamp/ if you run a scons install. Can you check
if that path exists? It might be that we are just not adding it to
VAMP_PATH properly because from your log output it seems we aren't checking
there.
