ubuntu-docs in Ubuntu Precise, template ubuntu-help:

If you change your mind and want to exit the HUD, simply | type | <key>Alt</key> again or <key>Esc</key>. You can also click anywhere outside the HUD to close the HUD.
Keys cannot be typed. It should be 'tap' instead of 'type':
