Bug Description
Using ubuntu 11.10 and a printer hp p1102w I tried to install wireless capabilities of my printer using the last version of hplip. At the end of the installation you can run in a terminal "hp-setup". There is a choice that say:
install wireless printers with a temporary usb connection
This choice doesn't work. Following the steps, when is asked to connect the printer via usb it come a message saying that there isn't any printer on the usb port, but if you try to print via usb all works!

Hi,
WiFi configuration through USB doesnt work with this device on Linux. This is a bug with our HPLIP. And we are working on that. But if you already know the IP Address of the device, you can try the following the device using following steps.
1. Run "hp-setup <IP Address>" from the terminal.
2. Continue to configure device via WiFi.
If you dont know the IP Address of the device, following steps are work around to configure through Wifi. Download the Windows full solution driver for this device on any Windows machine.
1. Double click on the exe to extract and install.
2. Select "Configure the device through Wifi first..." and continue.
3. Select "Advanced" option to select the wireless network manually.
4. Finally print a test page. An IP address will be printed.
5. Now try to configure the device in Linux using "hp-setup <IP address>".
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks and Regards,
