Machine - HP dv6000 laptop
Steps to reproduce:
Install fwcutter in synaptic Result: prompted to download firmware for bcm4311 (nice work, that is sweet)
Connect to wireless wpa encrypted network Result: Connects without a problem, connection is extrememly slow and not nearly as fast as it is in windows. Downloads that come in screaming at 500kbs on windows only come in at 28kbps.
I also disabled the encryption and the result is the same. Connecting with wpa does not seem to be a problem.
This is the first time I've been able to get wireless going on this laptop. Thanks for making it easy. I hope this slowness thing can be worked out.
