hebrew isn't full supported-like in subtitles

I know the package (i just got "there is one error" when choosing it), it's "gsubedit".
when i uses programs for editing subtitles or saving them into the movie, they are in Gibberish, i decided ro wrote it her in hope it would be fixed (: sorry for the low information, if you have any question, i'll do my best (:

i'm using ubuntu 11.10 and the system itself is in hebrew and also i have hebrew keyboard layout,

most of the time i used "GSubEdit - Gnome Subtitle Editor" and as i remember-any similar program had it

Can you confirm if we're talking about Gnome Subtitles here (website: http://gnomesubtitles.org)? GSubEdit is an application that has been discontinued (website: http://gsubedit.sourceforge.net/).

No problem, can you attach screenshots and subtitles files, so we can reproduce this?

now i can't open any subtitle, i got this kind of error: "Could not open
the file XXX.srt. The specified file is invalid."
and i tried to install the package: libmono-i18n2.0-cil
and it was already installed and newest.

before this error started (also purging didn't help)

Is any text written when you open the subtitle file?

i tried to open .srt like this with the messege and got the error:
 "Could not open the file XXX.srt. The specified file is invalid."
and i tried to install the package: libmono-i18n2.0-cil, and it was already

Please try the latest Gnome Subtitles version (1.4) and check if it resolves this issue.

This version is currently available in the project PPA: https://launchpad.net/~pedrocastro/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

Let me know if you need help installing it.

Thanks for fixing it. Currently I'm not using Gnome Subtitles, but i'm glad
to know that it's getting better.
