Completion not working in ipython buffer

In r937, if I I type, say, "ex" (or anything else) and then TAB in an ipython buffer, I get the message

Can't find completion for "ex"

can't reproduce with Emacs24 -Q and IPython0.10

please send some more details, IPython version, Emacs version

It works on my system too (Emacs 24.0.95, ipython 0.12) if I start with emacs -Q, load just python-mode.el, and then a python script. Let me investigate further...
