could be related to virtualbox, a while before, had my virtualbox running and everything seemed to freeze, a lot of disk IO, finally recover, shutdown ubuntu and when I boot up, the lightdm desktop seems unresponsive, network icon shows a "no entry" sign, restarted lightdm, everything seems fine, but apport-gtk shows above described crash.
