With recent updates indicator-session correctly indicates updates available.
The restart indication, e.g. when a new kernel arrives, is delayed but eventually appears.
I'll verify this on pc also and mark it as solved then. Thank you.

When update-manager is finished and updates are completed there is also a delay until the referring indication appears in indicator-session.
A user may assume there is something wrong and updates aren't completed which leaves the user in an uncertain state.

right, that's an optimization to avoid having to do index updates too often and a different issue, open a new bug if you want

Sebastien, I'm fine with the optimization thought. Indication behaviour also positive on pc.
