Please consider adding the lo-menubar by default, if only for consistency. In Ubuntu LO is probably one of the two most important default applications shipped with Ubuntu. Yet it is looks so out of place with the rest of the system, it really brings down the look of Ubuntu as a professional OS to be used by those switching from Mac OSX and Windows. Won't this also impact upon the future use of the HUD for LO.

If the lo-menubar is ready to go why is it not installed by default, if there is a technical issue could someone elaborate and maybe a fix can be found to close this gaping whole in the inconsistency of the Ubuntu desktop.

Fully agree with #3. The statement about HUD is right, see Bug #957847.
This problem has been around for such a long time, and Precise being supposedly all about polishing, I can't understand why it seems like no energy was put into fixing lo-menubar and integrating LibreOffice into Unity. Now we are left with an office suite that looks completely out of place and inconsistent. And now, HUD is useless with LibreOffice.

This bug won't be fixed until bug 725250 is fixed which is about moving lo-menubar to the -main reposotory from -universe. That move won't happen until bug 739184 is fixed. Bug 754562 might be a blocker too.
