Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I am using a new Edgy Eft 6.10 DVD that I downloaded. After partitioning, just as the "copying files" phase is beginning, I get the message "We're sorry; the installation crashed." I cannot attach the traces because my system is not in a state where I can connect to the Net. However, here's one clue: at the end of the traceback I get the message "No space left on device" despite the fact that I have assigned 8 GB to the root partition, 500MB to the swap partition, and reformatted both. This is with manual partitioning, of course.

This problem seems to be reoccurring -- Ubuntu changes a users input for the size of a system during installation. I was going to call this a duplicate for bug #48355, but this happens during manual partitoning and not automatic partitioning.
